Dr. Belal Gharaibeh is an Associate Professor of Systems and Industrial Engineering at the American University of Kuwait, with a research focus on additive manufacturing, human-centered design, and thermal systems engineering. His work integrates 3D printing technologies into interdisciplinary research, particularly in biomedical modeling and sustainable engineering education.
He has collaborated on internationally funded projects with institutions such as MIT and the Royal Academy of Engineering. Most recently, Dr. Gharaibeh initiated a collaborative research effort with TU Delft, focusing on advanced design applications in additive manufacturing, emphasizing education-driven innovation and cross-disciplinary engineering.
His ongoing research explores the integration of functional materials into 3D-printed anatomical models for medical applications, as well as the use of infrared thermography in real-time heat mapping for hyperthermia research.
