Jacqueline Hannss

University of Stuttgart

Germany

Biography

Jacqueline Gerhard, née Hannss, was born in Heilbronn, Germany and moved to Ulm in 2016 to study. While studying, she worked for a year at a local seal manufacturer.  During this year, she first gained experience in the development and simulation of sealing rings. After successfully completing her Bachelor's degree in Computational Science and Engineering at the University of Ulm, she moved from Ulm to Stuttgart. Jacqueline completed her Master's degree in Simulation Technology at the University of Stuttgart in May 2022.

The simulation of sealing systems led her to the world of sealing technology at the Institute of Machine Components at the University of Stuttgart, where she worked as a student assistant during her studies. She has been working there as a research assistant since 2022 and has dedicated herself to perfecting the 3D printing of sealing rings and thus opening up innovative avenues in this technology. Nevertheless, she still works in the field of (FEM-/CHT-/CFD-) simulation and is investigating how to optimize and improve the wear simulation of a sealing edge.
