Arif Gök is a Professor at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Industrial Design. His postgraduate research focused on the machinability properties of materials widely used in aerospace, aviation, and automotive industries, utilizing experimental, numerical, and optimization methods. These studies were supported by national scientific research funds. He served as Assistant Professor until 2016, earned the title of Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering in 2016, and became a full Professor in 2021. Throughout his career, he has authored over 100 national and international scientific articles, published 17 scientific books with internationally recognized publishers, obtained one registered patent and two patent applications, and contributed to more than 25 national and international projects. Prof. Gök has acted as a reviewer and external consultant for research projects funded by TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB, the Development Agency, and international institutions, including Poland. He has reviewed more than 150 scientific papers in over 15 esteemed international journals and has served as an editor in several national and international academic journals since 2016. Beyond academia, he played a key role in industry collaboration. Between 2015 and 2020, he served as the Industry–University Collaboration Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Technology in Amasya. Through this role, he contributed to securing over 50 million TL in R&D and innovation support programs such as KOBİGEL, Technological Product Investment, and Strategic Product Support. He was recognized by the Ministry as a “Best Practice Academic” for his contributions and led the largest-budget Technological Product Investment Project in the TR83 Region, which included establishing the country’s only LED screen production facility. In 2019, he received the University–Industry Success Award from the Ministry of Industry and Technology. From 2018 to 2020, he also served as the Chair of the 5th Regional Board of Industry–University Collaboration. From 2018 to 2022, he was a member of the TÜBİTAK UAV Advisory and Evaluation Board, actively contributing to the organization of high school and open-category UAV competitions. He continues to provide consultancy in this field. In addition to his research and industry-oriented contributions, Prof. Gök has held various administrative positions, including Vocational School Director, Department Chair, Head of Division, and membership in several academic and advisory boards.
