Luísa Lencioni de Mendonça completed her bachelor’s degree in biotechnology at PUCPR. During her studies, she completed three scientific initiations: one in the area of microbiology combined with food production and the other two focused on proteins involved in colorectal cancer, especially analyzing the role of Parkin in this type of disease. In parallel with her research and studies, motivated by the desire to disseminate and make science accessible to everyone, she volunteered at the scientific dissemination group Profissão Biotec, where she had the opportunity to record videos and write scripts for the dissemination of news in the area of Biotechnology. During the pandemic, she had the opportunity to work at IBMP (Instituto de Biologia Molecular do Paraná), a partner of FIOCRUZ, a company that allowed her to have rich experiences in two different sectors. In 2023, she worked in a molecular analysis laboratory, until August, when he joined the Basic Stem Cell Biology Laboratory at FIOCRUZ as a technical support. In 2024, she entered the master's degree program at the same laboratory, with the project "Bioprinting of a three-dimensional structure with cardiomyocytes derived from pluripotent stem cells".
